Since i joined three years ago, I don't think I have ever been on the mobile site. I prefer to peruse the forum while sitting comfortable at my computer, and not on the throne or on the move (which may be the same thing). I      use my phone for lots of things, but forum viewing isn't one of them.

Why go to desktop. Go to catagories bottom of page....select off topic, baking, beef etc?

I never use this site via mobile so no experience there but I do use Gmail daily and I still can't stand the new layout they forced upon me.

The header now takes up nearly the whole first page.
The text is harder to read.
The new posts on a thread is less clear than before.
Massive white space takes up room so fewer threads are visible on a page.
Buttons on the menu don't work.
The site automatically adds a blank line between the text when typing - annoying and hard to proof read.
Apart from that it's fine.

I just like that it doesn't put me at the top of the list of threads every time I back out of a thread. That was annoying.

I like the prominent search bar, but other than that?  Meh.  It reminds me of what I say to taxpayers at work: “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

Kinda strange that this change just popped up with no input from the members. My guess is that it's a cheaper platform, or it makes it easier for the Buffalo to Patrol. No matter the reason, with the no communication factor, it sends a message about how they feel about us and our opinions.
