Awesome you have all these great restaurants where you can eat dinner and rent an egg.
My local brewery would probably let me rent their XL and I could have dinner there before leaving with it.

I would just cook ahead of time, vac seal, freeze, transport, and reheat. If you don't have a vac sealer then freezer bags would work (or use this as an excuse to buy a vac sealer).

Freezing the pork will make transporting it easy. A cooler loaded with bags of frozen pork and ice will retain the ice a long time. Even a cheap cooler. (Or use this as an excuse to buy a fancy roto-molded cooler).

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Don't miss a visit to Ole Smoky Moonshine in downtown Gatlinburg and enjoy a moonshine tasting.

  • Ditto on the peddler and the Park Inn I think it’s called is owned by the same folks. It’s really good also. But my favorite is the Smoky Mtn brewery. Best food, fine big beers. The one in Gatlinburg is the original, but there is one in pigeon forge and turkey creek also. Always a really good time.
