I’d be pissed if I was out in -30 lifting packages and all I got was a damn pizza peel.
I reckon a lowdown vermin package thieving sumbiatch has no clue what a pizza peel is - prolly thinks it is a giant spatula.

Yeah, if that's his vehicle, it's pretty distinguishable. He's busted...go to the police, share on social media, etc..

Also check with neighbors. If they had cameras they may have gotten a plate #

Surely anyone who would grab a pizza peel without asking should be hunted down! Especially with video evidence. Right NOLA?

Is that a pizza turner or a crawfish stirrer.  And, I wouldn't take much advice from @nolaegghead in this particular situation unless it was kind of like how they brought Sean Connery out of jail to help Nicholas Cage in "The Rock"

This is why I own a Doberman that sits on the front porch while I'm at work.  The utility company left a note last week that they'd be "trimming" some of my trees in my driveway under the power-lines (that's a polite way of saying they're going to fuuck some shiit up). I received a note yesterday in my mailbox letting me know that I would need to trim my own trees.

I'd be afraid to leave my dog outside of my house unattended.  He'd chew someone a new one.

Luckily he's never been a chewer, inside or out. The only "bad" thing he does is smack the door with is paws when he's ready to come in.... so scratches.

@LeopoldStoch Sorry to hear this, really sucks.

Chances are he was doing work in the neighborhood.  Check with HOA and neighbors.  Hopefully someone hired him to do some work and has his name and all contact information.  I think a pic of that truck is enough to track him down, but if he was hired in the neighborhood then someone has all his contact information.

I have everything shipped to my office.  I haven’t had anything stolen off my porch, but not risking it.

No I like the idea of going back to chain gangs, make them work for a living.

Get a PO Box and have everything shipped to that.  You just use the physical address of the post office and put the box number behind the street.  Doesn't matter if it's for home or work, I have everything shipped or mailed to the post office.  Lowers your chances of identity theft big time.

    Great news and update!!

Between neighborhood ring and nest cameras, footage was reported and pushed to local pd as soon as it was happening yesterday. Went to file the report today and they informed me of this and told me they arrested the guy and retrieved my stuff!

    Feeling much better!!!

    cheers and happy egging!
    That's Fantastic!
As many times as **** like this is aired on the news showing the Dumb *sses getting caught, it amazes me people will still risk it.

Great win, glad you got your things back.  people never cease to amaze me that they think stealing random stuff off of porches is fun and enjoyable.  Prevention is very difficult because if you have some sort of counter measures they can sue you for trying to steal your stuff.

We live on the main drag in our community.  Last month I was doing some yard work and noticed the same "work truck" with two guys in it come by 4 times in less than 30 minutes.  I figured if they were working they didn't have time to really do anything between their trips past my house.  I called the SO and they had a car there in about 5 minutes.  The deputy came back 15 minutes later and said he stopped them and while there wasn't anything he could hold them on, he was pretty sure they were up to something, so he got their names, ID, and tag # and said we've probably seen the last of them.

Probably about the same time that other class of crooks - politicians - learn that lesson.
Neither group is very smart tho so it will likely be a while. :)

I service home appliances for a living. I visit 7-10 homes each day. It s incredible how many "Ring" doorbell/monitor systems that are in use over the last year. This type of thing will be greatly reduced unless the thief really takes care camouflaging themselves and vehicles.

Freezing weather is prime time for package theft.  Perps can wear a ski mask without raising too much suspicion.

Leopoldstoch  I'm sorry that happened to you.  I know how much it sucks.  Such a pain to have to spend your free time getting this issue addressed.  This summer, I had a UPS driver try to mark my packages as delivered so that he could take them.  Maybe he needed the pizza flour, bread lame and airlocks more than I did.
