Which silicone/rubber gloves do you use for handling hot meat.

I had a pair of heavy duty insulated silicone/rubber gloves for handling hot meat that were great but I made a mistake and picked up a 500 degree placesetter and melted the tips of fingers. The store where I got them says the maker quit making them and what they and other stores have in houston is not nearly as good. I use welding gloves for hot placesetter normally but can not find good food handling gloves.

Get some cotton glove liners and put disposable nitrile gloves over them. Better dexterity by a mile.
-
I use basic disposable nitrile ones over cotton heat resistant gloves

Best I have used for hot food (cloth thermal liner is removable). You can get these on eBay for less than $30 shipped.

I like these - they say up to 900F - but I'd be a little hesitant... I use on stir fry's and the like and moving the placesetter if it's around 400-500F. But I'm moving quickly...
For doing pulled pork or moving brisket - I take a pair of cotton, brown jersey gloves and a pair of vinyl gloves on top - just enough protection from 200F meat, but with loads of mobility.Kansas City: Too Much City for One State - Missouri side
