30 seconds after I fired up Mr Robot s3.e1, I get a text from wifey (sleeping), "what are you watching, it's loud"...
I moved a recliner close to the tv and spend the next ~55min feathering the volume whenever a loud scene came on, struggling to hear dialogue the whole time.
I am considering putting together a humble office/theater room downstairs with 5.1 but in the meantime, can anyone recommend decent wireless headphones that won't break the bank? https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wireless-home-theater-headphones/ ??

I have these Sonys. The noise canceling isn't quite as good as the Bose but I like the sound they produce better.

On second thought, this will just give me a kick in the ass to get started on / finish the theater space downstairs.Frederick, MD - LBGE and some accessories -

My 80 year old dad just bought a Sony set. He loves them and so does my mom because now the volume doesn't blast her out of the house!

Get some remastered beats, about half the price and awesome bass for more realistic sound quality. Also Bose is awesome but the bass won’t go as deep so you’ll miss out on some of the explosion/sound effects
on a side note, you may have to own Apple TV to use beats like that...“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”
