Started out with soaking some dried blacked peas overnight. Tossed them in the crockpot with a ham bone and some bay leaves for 6hrs.
Then it was the Collard Greens turn. Sautéed some onions and pork jowl and added it to the chicken stock n water with red pepper flakes and let it go on the small at 325 for about 3 1/2hrs. The small got the call to duty so I didn’t get the greens funk in the house
Had the large fired to make a big skillet of cornbread but found out I only had enough mix for the 8” skillet.
The chops got brined for 3hrs then SV‘d at 140 for 2hrs. The mini took over from there
And what took about 6hrs to make was eaten in about 30mins Lol.
Happy New Years all you Eggers!!

Way to kick off 2019 in style. Great groceries (I got tired just reading about the effort) and the diamond plate for the win.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
Thank Cap. I always look forward to NYs cook. One of my favorite cooks. None of my Memmaws are still with us but I feel like they both guide me threw the cooks like this.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.
