@Diesel_Hokie Is that a cooler mash tun I see to the right of your BGE?? I had one of those early in my brewing days. Then I made a mash tun from a 1/2 bbl keg.

I brewed extract kits for years but there is something even more satisfying about making your own beer when your ingredients = a sack of grain (instead of jug(s) of syrup), some hops and yeast, and water. I now exclusively brew all-grain and keg it instead of bottling, and am approaching 100 5-gallon batches brewed. Mmmmmmmm.....

For me, there are several important things:
- plenty of storage out of sight. I don’t like a lot of clutter around when I’m not cooking
- plenty of counter space. After prep in the kitchen, most of the food that I cook outside is transported on sheet pans. I like enough counter room for two sheet pans.
Of course you can accomplish the above with ancillary products, so this really isn’t necessarily a table issue.
One thing I wish I had was a power outlet closer to the table or on the table. Currently I have to run an extension, which adds to the clutter I don’t like. Again, this can be fixed independent of the table (which I need to do).Memphis, TN

Just finished a resto mod on my L BGE and table. I inherited this egg with a girlfriend. It's a 2010 and it had been sitting for close to 5 years before I decided to try it out a few months ago. Have been grilling and smoking on other equipment for many years, but was really impressed by the egg, so I decided to redo it and make it functional for me. New gasket, new rEggulator and rain cap (so much better than the daisy wheel), re-calibrated thermometer. GF was nice enough to buy me the BGE stainless knife set and stainless tool set to complete the setup so when I'm running 2 or 3 grills I have tools at each station. Things I have/want for my setup: 1) Table nest. Must have. That cinder block transmits too much heat during high temp cooks; 2) Towel bars. Had 1 on it originally, added 2 more. These are from Ikea and you can buy the hooks for like $2/pk. Plenty of room to hang tools and towels. Can even hang the cooking grid on a hook out of the way while I'm firing it up; 3) Cover. Mine doesn't stay outdoors, but we're close to the coast and have plenty of salt and humidity in the air. My table is a little deeper (27.5") than an actual L BGE table, so got an after market cover; 4) Power strip. Others have mentioned also. Haven't installed yet, but will on rear of table; 5) Wire baskets. Looking for SS wire baskets with runners that mount above the baskets so I can store small items. These will attach beneath the table in all that dead space; 6) Eggniter mount. Planning to mount either metal or CPVC pipe lined with gasket strips on left side of table; 7) Magnetic knife rack. Have seen others mention, great idea. I may not do it because I'm afraid the dogs will stick themselves. About all I have at the moment. Before and after pics and a couple of it as it sits currently. If anyone knows where I can get top mount wire baskets let me know.

That's it. There are 2 different styles of hooks available for it. And they have a magnetic knife rack as well, which I think is a great accessory if you don't have an 85 lb puppy running around ha ha.

I don’t know what $3.99 feels like. It’s lightweight, but it hold what I have on it just fine. The one that was on it originally is 8 or 9 years old and has held up well. Cooking grate and a couple tools is the heaviest thing I ever hang on it.
