OT - Awesome Aldi breakfast for <75 cents
Took a new job recently after being out of work for three months. Financial situation requires prudent spending = more trips to Aldi and Lidl. Scored a great bread-less breakfast protein blast sandwich idea. Thick Aldi breakfast ham (50 cents per slice), Aldi thin sliced pepper jack (15 cents) and Aldi egg (8 cents). Fried the egg with ham in same skillet. Once ham was hot topped with cheese, then egg slightly runny. Fantastic! The ham is great and not salty. Bad plate pic so here is the pre- shot. 210 calories and 13 grams of fat. No bread. Definitely putting in the breakfast rotation. Disclaimer: No charcoal was burned during this cook.
Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here. Very Extremely Stable Genius.
