This afternoon called for roast chicken/ red potatoes w/ red onions. In cast iron at 350 indirect. Took about 2 1/2 hours and was fantastic! Didn’t get a finish pic.. don’t hold it against me..

Is that a 17 in lodge and if so have you tried it on gas stove? I have one for egg and thinking about stovetop use but wonder if too large to get even heating.I XL and 1 Weber Kettle And 1 Weber Q220 Outside Alvin, TX-- South of Houston

It is the 13” green egg version. I do not have a gas stove so all my cast iron is used only the egg. I have a 12” skillet but with handle can’t close lid. And I won’t cut off the handle.
