We’re getting back to our San Antonio roots!

tex-Mex thanksgiving!

this will be the first year in the last five that i wont be smoking a turkey or two... so... suggestions for a neat thanksgiving dish from the BGE would be welcome. 

We have a pretty rad international market here for real chili pepper diversity and such... goat heads need not reply. ;p

My fav non-traditional side dish is Chipotle Sweet Potatoes (many recipes online, have tried at least 3 and they were all great).  
The brown-sugar, marshmallow or even (allah forbid!) pineapple versions, just repel me.  
Although I haven't tried this yet, I'll bet a green chile/turkey burrito would be excellent, too!

I can't stand all of those sweetened versions of sweet potatoes, but my mother in law has a recipe that incorporates a LOT of Bourbon (also in the sweet potatoes) and it is great.
