I want to see this rumored Kamado I've heard that Aldi is coming out with. No this is not a joke.
My store had a few full size Akorns this summer. Haven't heard rumors of an Aldi branded one.

I wonder if Connecticut is the only state that doesn't allow wine to be sold in grocery stores. Beer only. And it's only been a few years since they allowed any type of alcohol to be sold on Sunday! And stores had to stop selling at 8PM (since changed to 9P (Sundays, 5P).
grocery stores and convenience stores in nh where i shop have the beer and wine but for some reason aldis is locked out of the sales

Maryland is like that, with one exception that I don’t understand at all.  One of the Wegmans near me opened a stand alone beer/wine/liquor store that has the exact same signage and piping of sale software, but they had to insist that they were separate stores.

Sunday sales is a county by county decision.

This is the article where I read about the Kamado. This is for the UK but my brother and mom who both shop at Aldi all the time showed me an ad for one here in the U.S. and it said coming soon.

Hmm, the UK one is £350 ($459). I didn't see a size mentioned, but in the photo with the guy standing next to it, it looked large-ish. Wonder what the warranty is. Since it's ceramic, you KNOW it's gonna break.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Ya I believe size wise it was basically a large. I think the ad I saw showed 18" Grid. I think the warranty said 10 years or something for all components.

Great prices, not much name brand stuff, store is a bit unorganized, but it is not a huge store so no problem doubling back in search of a item.      Great produce, most the time you can find what your looking for but one time they didn’t have any cabbage, last week they had Boston butts but non bone in etc.
We think of it as a discount grocery store with a great selection of the necessities, bring your own bags or boxes and you put a quarter in the shopping cart to unlock it.
I have been into one Trader Joe’s and it was what I would consider high end groceries compared to Aldi, however I know there are different grades of the same store.

Bottom line Aldi it saves us about 20-30% on groceries
This description sounds right on in my experience.

Also, I will sometimes go out of my way a little to stop at Aldi simply because they have the best ribs available anywhere in my area, and that includes my local butcher shop as well as a large Kroger.
Cincinnati, Ohio. Large BGE since 2011. Still learning.

I honestly can’t believe that a quarter is a deterrent for laziness. A lot of folks wouldn’t bother to pick up a quarter on the ground much less push a cart across the parking lot for one.
Honestly, yesterday was the first time I have ever seen a single empty cart in the lot. I pushed it in the store with me but really did not buy enough to make good use of it. I handed it off to another family on the way out to my car. I almost had to run from them as they were insistent on giving me a quarter. I said it was gifted to me by a lazy person, please just take it.lol
No system is 100% but this really works.
I do however wish they had small hand baskets just to use in the store.

I went to the Aldi once. It was old, dirty, and smelly. I left after about 30 seconds. I can’t say that I know what their cart situation was.

Love Aldis. My wife and I call it the "pre-grocery store".  What we can't get at Aldi we get at Kroger.  Their Winking Owl wines at $2.59 are our inexpensive table wines.   We like Lidl too.  They have some crazy specials like a Sous Vide machine including tank for $40.

We got our weekly Lidl "catalog" in the mail yesterday and noticed they have an ash vacuum for $29. Might be worth giving a try.

Just like any other chain store, the name is the same, but how it is kept up, and the employee quality will differ at every store.

My Aldi store closed for 2-3 months a year or so ago. For remodeling. So did another one 15 miles away (not at the same time). You might try again, perhaps yours did the same.

My store is 7 miles from their distribution center. Freshness-wise, I assume that is a good thing.

Not worth another stop in my busy stage of life. Costco monthly, Fresh market every couple weeks and Publix weekly for the bulk. Wife makes a Target run and a Walmart run about monthly too. Maybe when I retire and have an extra 55 hours a week I can find some goodness there.

I have beef with Aldi’s. Went in one for the first time last month. Was unimpressed across the board.

They wanted a quarter to borrow a shopping cart.  What is that $hit!?!  I didn’t have a quarter on me so I went in and ultimately didn’t buy anything over the fact that I didn’t have a cart!

Do I need to be a certified BGE carrying card member to let them know I’m not going to turn their buggy into a makeshift grill?
    It’s not the quarter.

Aside from the size of the store, I'd say aldi is not similar to trader Joe's at all

I thought it was odd that my Aldi was brand new and somehow managed to look like the Olgetree's at Sprayberry Crossing in the 80's.
