Post Hurricane Burnout
I had to take the covers off my eggs so I could tie them down for the arrival of hurricane Florence. When I went out yesterday to fire up the small one to do some pork tenderloins, I discovered some mold from all the rain. Same thing in the large. It was too late in the day to do anything about it but, today, I fired them both and got them clean.
While that did the job on the mold, the small had some very damp lump in it with the result of some gunky run-off down the side of the egg. Looks like tomorrow will be clean-the-eggs day.

I had the same issue with my KJ jr. Did a clean burn before cooking a flank steak this week and all good. Hope you made it through the storm without damage. What part of Carolina are you in?Carrollton, Va
