any bayarea eggers repair garage doors or have a reference? I need to have the left and right torsion springs replaced.

This should be a simple and routine task for anyone on the biz.
But it can also be dangerous for an unskilled person not knowing the biz.
In Galveston, my doors are very heavy duty to pass Windstorm regulation.
The springs are large and 4 to a door. They are under pretty high torque and can cause severe damage to the installer if not careful.

Use google and look at the reviews.  They should give you a good indicator of the level of service your local companies can provide.  I just had a garage door company out today to adjust a door that was binding and preventing it from closing.  Hope the damage wasn't too bad.
