XL metal and concrete top table
BlerDC
Posts: 3
Finally finished my table. Only took a few months to get all steps done. My dad did the welding and we ended up pouring a concrete top to save a few $$$ over the granite. I love having the prep space now. And I should be cooking on this table for decades to come without the fear of it burning down. And yes I have a bottle opener on it now. I just got the pic taken before we went to the store for screws. Any tips for organizing racks would be appreciated.

very nice! Will the egg sit on that metal circle thing? What is that?

Yes the egg does sit on the metal disc. We found the disc at a local farm implement dealer. It was easier than having a steel plate cut.

Looks amazing. That concrete top turned out really nice. Did you seal it with anything?

Can you elaborate more on how you formed the top? What type of concrete did you use?Llano, TX - Med and XL BGE’s

I like the pedestal that you have your Egg sitting on - neat idea!Need to add some hooks or brackets or the like to hold a pan that you can scrape out the ash into.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk

I love the egg stand, great idea! It looks like it should meet airflow requirements!

Great execution! One of the coolest tables I've seen"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan
