just an odd band issue

assembled this large egg 14 years ago. over the week the lower band carriage bolt must of broke just sitting there. just lucky i had seen it slightly hanging before raising the dome. looked like it rusted from the inside out and had been ready to fail for a long time. would have taken  a pic but lost it while searching the garage for a new one. it didnt snap where it bens, it snapped right at the cap end
