MiniMax mold issue?

I’m well aware that some mold growth is normal if an egg stays dormant for too long.
that being said, my MiniMax seems to be moldy every time I open it recently. Granted, I’ve been cooking less than my previous normal.
What gives? Is this a known issue with the MM? My XL has never had a mold issue, certainly not a consistent one.

Try loosening the bands and reseating the dome. My XL used to get mold pretty frequently at our old house. The medium sitting next to it never got mold. When I reassembled the XL at our new place, the amount and frequency of the mold had been drastically reduced even though I rarely fire up the XL these days.

After it’s cooled down from the last cook, open up the lower intake and top vent all the way. The air flow will limit mold formation.
Also, one never admits to finding mold in their egg(s). Because the number one reason is not cooking enough !!

You have a defective MM! Private message me your address and I will come take it away for ya. Oh and try what the others have said first along with use it more.
