I see you broke in your new toy that followed you home from Wassi's. What are your first impressions?

Sucker is very heavy.  It is a trick to move it if you need to make a change after it is hot.  Grid is wide enough to do veggies right on it.  First cook was burgers, and I toasted the buns on the swing while the patties cooked below.

Thanks for the information. I'm trying to decide which 2 level system to purchase. Talked to the guys from East Georgia Metals at the Sunshine State Eggfest and Wassi's when they were down for vacation. Nice guys and I like their products. Have you set the top height where you want it or are you still testing? Nice to have options for two level coooking.

Your first jump in I would go with a CGS Adjustable Rig.  Very versatile.

I am just about to pull the trigger on that rig.

I have two XLs, so I have the adjustable rig on one, and the swing grate on the other.  If I only had one I would go with the adjustable rig.  The swing grate is nice, but not as versatile.

I use that set up several times a year to smokie 32 turkey thighs to give you a reference.  On the other hand I have used bricks and Webber grids to do something like 70 lbs of pork butt on the XL.  A nice set up is nice, but improvisation has its place.
