My electric pressure cookers (not Instapot brand) have a steaming function. I imagine that Instapot does also. I wouldn't use the pressure settings to for the finish.Southeast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
Minor nit, but it is actually named the INSTANT POT. There is no such product called Instapot.

Nooo.... cook the Pastrami like a regular brisket. no need for steam, I promise, so much fat in the flat it is not necessary, Here is the thread of mine, no alterations from meatheads except egging the protein until buttah"

Cut a chunk off and put it under pressure for 40 minutes and I promise you you will be happy. Terrible pic, but you get the idea.

Not the pot, but the silicone seal ring does. She has different colored seal rings she uses for different things. Good pastrami is Unobtanium in South Louisiana, so I had to figure it out on my own. I tried just steaming it and putting it under pressure for less time, but 40 minutes raised under pressure with a quick release, good rye, havarti cheese, pickled okra and stout mustard is where it's at...all you'll be missing is the yarmulke.RedSkip said:@Cochon_Couyon
