New band/hinge question

when installing the new band/hinge assembly, do you tighten the nuts until the bolts bend?

you also need to really tighten the 2 nuts (each side) over the eyeloops on the dome band. They hold the hinge bar that connects top and bottom. If these are not tight, the springs will move the dome on you.
