Brisket Rub-How Long Before Egging??

I need to start 2 briskets early tomorrow for a family reunion Sunday at noon.  I’m getting them prepped tonight (I’m not a morning person).  Can I apply a S&P rub tonight so they’ll be ready to go early tomorrow, or should I trim tonight and apply the rub immeadiately before going on the egg??

Like you I do all the prep work (including rub application) at least the AM of the night cook or the day before the follow-on cook.  Fire the BGE, let it get stable and load and go.  Enjoy the cook and adventures the cow will throw your way.  FWIW-
Likely doens't make any difference other than the immediate level of effort.

For Sunday at noon you may want to hold off until Saturday afternoon to throw them on.  How big are these?  Typically that run .7 - 1.4 hrs per pound (assuming it's a full packer)

    Good luck!
