OT - New Guinness Brewery

I know there are a few members in the Baltimore area.  The New Guinness Brewery opens today at 3:00.  First Guinness facility in the US since 1954.   It’s less that 2 miles from the JO Spice shop, on the site of the old Calvert Whisky distillery.  A must visit - soon, if not today!

Interesting.  We road tripped to camden For a baseball game and Guinness was everywhere. Didn’t realize it was guerilla drinking. :)

Dang, guess I’m getting old - I don’t understand the term “guerilla drinking”.  Guinness apparently has been making promotional efforts ahead of the opening.  Story is, $80 million+ investment.

They showed up at the Maryland Craft Brew Fest back in May. Didn't make much sense, but yeah.

Hmm, the wife and kid are out of town this week.  Might have to swing down and check it out.

My wife and daughter are out of town tomorrow night but I’m catching twilight at Bulle Rock.

Not old. Just my term for Guinness being EVERYWHERE. I drank it with my crabbie pattys at Berthas...

Which were so good I’ll never order crab cakes anywhere else ever again, by the way...

@MaskedMarvel - ok, I get it.  True - stout is on tap everywhere.  People tell me it’s so much better in Ireland - I gotta try some day.

    Great looking meal!

Sorry you couldn’t get into “the horse” - was there for St Patrick’s day long ago, met Chris, 72 years old, 100% Irish.  Her husband was singing Danny Boy.  Chris invited me to a party - she wanted her granddaughter to meet a “nice American boy”...  A couple hours later, my buddies and I hit the party - just in time to see a bunch of golden girls carrying Chris out the door.  Poor gal had a wee bit too much.  About 12 years later I met and married my own fine Irish lass.
