PSwoo, extender, sliding rack.... Why did I wait until now!!!!!!

My God this thing is great. I received it yesterday and used it an hour later with some smoked turkey wings and baked beans.  Love CGS.

I have the same set-up and totally concur.  I had forgotten how clean they are right out of the box.
Great cook to break it in with.  Most eggcellent.

I, also, have the same rig (albeit the CI model). It took my egging from good to amazing. Not just two levels, but stuff like raised direct and cooking pizza high in the dome on the extender. I love that thing. It really changes the game.

Ive always used the XL Woo/Adjustable Rig combo on my XL in place of a plate setter. I love the versatility.

I got one from the ceramic grill store.  Nice addition.  Have done whole turkeys only, never thought of the wings.  Also never tried baked beans.  Any suggestions for the beans?  Look good.

  • Yeah that thing is fantastic.

I have one on one of my Larges and every time I cook on my other one with the ghetto rig I made originally I just stare in disgust.

Nice! Now when you get a few more bucks saved up add the R&B Oval stone and support. With it you have stone coverage from one side to the other and it allows for heat and smoke on two sides. No more crispy ends on your ribs, two butts or brisket! No need to foil over the end of the grid. I use this setup 90% of the time.

CGS has a Woo for the XL. You could call Tom and ask if he has an "Oval Stone" for the XL Woo. But as big as the XL cooking grid is I wouldn't think you would need one. I would though add a Adjustable Rig with the Woo on an XL or just get one of the combo deals.

With the recent events on the PSWoo, we had folks ask about similar capabilities for the XL EGG. From day one, I've considered handles on the XL Woo but never added them as one needs to be careful on load balance, dumping the food.

Well, I jumped on the wire bender & fabricated handles, welded 'em on an XL Woo, gave it to the staff and asked.....thumbs up or down on handles.........answer is.........

ConvEGGtor loads from the top. Half Stones slide in from the side.

We can ship them now, one of the benefits of having a fabrication shop onsite. We might make them an XL Woo option.....details on the website coming.

    Very cool but handle carefully!

Awesome. Sorry it dumb question, but what's the 2nd level grid called in OP's top photo? Is that also available in thr XL? I like that it seems to eat up less space on the bottom grid compared to the adjustable one I saw on your site that has the bulky steel notches the top grid slides into.

Edit - I think it's called the Extender + Sliding D ring. I didn't see this listed under the XL page.
