Do you know if this one will fit the Large? Thanks for the link! I typed rib rack and only got the 1st option to pop up.KennyCJR said:
If I remember correctly they used to offer one that looked like SS and could hold 6-8 racks on the large, and could also flip over if cooking birds. May have discontinued?

This one in the link below? Looks a lot like mine but I don’t remember where I got mine (not CGS though). It’s an inverted v-rack.SouthernEagle said:

Mine on a LBGE:

Oh, and happy almost birthday! -
That is the v-rack sold by BGE. I bought mine in their store in GA.

They are now made in SS in lieu of the ceramic coated steel.

Tom may not be too keen on selling them anymore. Idk?

we carry the primo rib rack big and small.....it's an actual rib rack.....most folks use the R&B combo and do four full racks flat. flat better than vertical with ribs. Last I looked there were couple racks in the primo section. t

Indeed, I’ll be ordering the R&B combo as early as today.tjv said:we carry the primo rib rack big and small.....it's an actual rib rack.....most folks use the R&B combo and do four full racks flat. flat better than vertical with ribs. Last I looked there were couple racks in the primo section. t

Not trying to hijack this thread but my question below might help the OP as well if interested in going with the R&B combo and skipping the v-rack.
@tjv Is the R&B all I really need or are there any other accessories that I should look at to get along with it? I have a pizza stone so assume I can use that with it just want to make sure I’m not ordering it only to find out I should have gotten a spider or something else straight out of the gates. TIA! -
we recommend the R&B combo then after using it, you'll can see if one of the Rig bundles fit your fancy for specific cooks.......twww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.

@morrobayrich, I just checked and I believe that is it, thanks!
@tjv thank you for the feeback and information! Curious why you say flat is better than vertical for ribs? I am wanting to give some baby backs a try soon and thought I needed to get a rack to be able to cook more than 2ish racks flat on a LBGE
@Cornholio thanks for the picture, that is it! And thanks for the early birthday wishes, another year has flown by!

horizontal (flat) racks, you can flip, foil, sauce with little trouble and cook full racks in large egg. r&b combo has the oval stone which provides extended coverage over the ends.SouthernEagle said:@morrobayrich, I just checked and I believe that is it, thanks!

typically, vertical (upright) racks need to be cut smaller to fit a large egg and they flop over on each other. you can skewer vertical racks but then that makes moving/handling harder.
don't see many, if any, true bbq competition cooks smoking ribs vertical.......
the r&B combo handles four full racks of babyback or st. louis ribs with little trouble on large egg. on xl egg, we can get 8-9 racks using three grids. all flat and full racks.
