Pigs in a blanket question

Quick question for the team!
I’ve done pigs in a blanket several times on the BGE, always a fan favorite. I haven’t added any extra wood for smoke though. Any thoughts on this? Would adding some hickory or cherry be too overpowering in the crescent rolls?

Probably not given the cook time is typically 15 minutes.
