A. Brown Pulled Pork

firet time trying AB’s pulled Pork. Did the brine last night, 8 hours. Also prepared the Egg (last night) for the S/L; all cleaned out and piled high with RW. Started the Egg at 4am, while it came to temp I seasoned the 8.4# Bone in Butt. Egg was ready for the Butt at 5am. Will follow up as the day rolls. 

We are expecting bad storms don’t think that will change the cook time just will get the cook wet.

Will do. I am introducing a friend to the BGE today so I will be doing them turbo. The plan is to put them on at 9:00 am.

nicely played I'm doing some beef plate ribs today and weather forecast the same, only difference is i did not have to get up at 4

Yeah I thought it was going to be a complaint about lack of bark.

Storms are to start around 1:30-2pm, all will be good.

the crazy part is I have to pickup our new Waverunner at 3. Hope it will hold until I get back and remove it. Planning on it being don’t around 5ish

gonna be a fun afternoon

JMCXL I hope your adding to your collection of wave runners and not just buying 1. You know what they say about only having 1 wave runner!!
I use to love my wave runners haven't touched them in years though.

What temp did you run at, I am still waiting on the fall off the bone. Got 9 people looking for something to eat

15 yr later it was amazing 
moist and the flavor was great

Very nice. Due to time constraints I ran mine at 325.  Finished in about 7.5 hours. Love the flexibility of pork butts. Easy to do low and slow or "turbo" with nearly the same outcome.

So you think the brine was a good use of ingredients and time?  Did it impart any flavor on the interior parts?

I will do the brine every time. Well worth the time!

I did the brine my last PP, going back to just a salt dry brine for the shoulder to compare that goes on in a few hours

Very curious to hear how the dry v. wet brine works out.
