Farmers and Distillers is a good place in DC. They have homemade donuts for dessert that are fantastic. Medium Rare is good, very interesting menu, they only serve steak and fries. BLT steak was my favorite, steak was great and the popover bread they have is awesome. Charlie Palmer Steak was ok.

Glad to see Ed Lee get a good mention. Terrific chef and a pretty cool guy.

Be sure to cruise the GW parkway and maybe hit up the Key Bridge Boat House for rentals. It is a neat way of viewing the monuments.

I like Medium Rare. The only item on the menu for dinner is steak frites with secret sauce. It’s $21 per person which includes bread, salad, and steak frites. You can get a second serving for free if desired. It’s not a five star endeavor but always a good and unpretentious time.
