So, I purchased a Weber 7432 cooking grid to make an extender rack for cooking higher in the dome (think pizza). I quickly found out that it would not sit securely on the platesetter with legs up (too small in diameter).
But there is more than one way to skin a cat and decided that I would use the 7432 to hold the pizza stone, itself. I had to cut the handles off the grid but with some five inch SS bolts I came up with something that looks very functional.
Right now it's sitting on an Onlyfire SS cooking grid but I think if I turn the 7432 upside down it can sit on the fire ring and the Onlyfire will sit on top of the bolts for a two zone indirect grilling setup...not sure how well that will work out but it looks great for pizza, anyway.
Any comments or suggestions on how to improve this setup will be appreciated.
