How old is my egg? Welded handle.

Saw a reference to welded handles on eggs were older and made in Mexico. Any idea how old?

Not sure about the age but the ceramic is still made in Mexico

I'm not sure about the welded bracket, but the wood part looks like a railing spindle.  Nice to see an egg that's up in years still in action.

Ps: I took my wood part off to refinish it and it's still on my workbench.  The "temporary" one is made from pallet wood.  Photo above for your amusement.  Just some brats cooking today.  Nuttin' to write home about.

I believe all BGE ceramics are made in Mexico...

Great seeing an older one still going strong, mine is only about 7 tears old...
