Has anyone used any of the Thermacell mosquito repellent systems? I love sitting outside, but I'm the guy that has tons of mosquito bites when no one else gets any.

Yup. They work, but the 15 foot advertised spread is a little imbellished, we usually use two.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

Just bought one based on rave reviews. The Minnesota state bird (aka the mosquito) isn't here yet, but i'll definitely keep you posted. They make the standard one as well as a bunch of different patio models.
Small price to pay if it actually works. -
Thanks @Jeremiah. Do you have the patio or radius model?Large and Small BGECentral, IL

The patio and the handheld original. They both live in the camper, which is where we live most weekends. The thermocells, and a couple OFF candles, have kept us from being carried away by those little straight from hell bastards.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

They’re great for hunting. It’ll keep em 3-5 feet away.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

My wife is their favorite prey. She'll get 10 bites before anyone else even hears the buzz. I'll need to check them out.

Ordered the radius. Will be here Wednesday. Will update.Large and Small BGECentral, IL

Not sure about the large models, but the handheld ones work very good. Use them when hog hunting in the SC swamp. Skeeters everywhere, but on me with the Thermacell on. Like Jeremiah said, the area isn't too large.

Around the house, a fan works great. Mosquitoes don’t fare well in the wind.

I am glad to hear those who find this works. Would love to spend more time outdoors in the evening, but the skeeters drive me nuts.Stillwater, MN

I spray this every 1-2 months and works well.

My wife and little girl get nailed constantly. They don't bother me.
Depending on how much rain you have is how long you wait to re-apply. You can tell when you have to spray again, when you see more skeeters.------------------------------

It's perfect early deer season in the tree.
Mats and cartidges are not cheap, but I can sit all day comfortably.

Some people say that taking vitamin B1 works for them...

Showed up yesterday. Got it going tonight.

Impressed with this. Only issue so far is you have to order the refills directly from Thermacell. REI is currently selling the device cheaper than Amazon but it and the refills are not in stock there .Large and Small BGECentral, IL

Trying this out. Thought it couldn't hurt. It's been too wet to spray Talstar P, but tired of the skeeters. So I'll use this Spartan in conjunction with Talstar P.
I got mine from the local Southern States dealer. Not sure if you have that.
So you fill a container with water. The container has sucrose and yeast (other stuff too). The skeeters fly in get some of the water, then fly out, and the yeast expands to kill them, eventually and supposedly
