Hi,
I'm currently having an outdoor kitchen built and will have a large BGE sitting in between 2 36" base cabinets.  The egg will be sitting on an open shelf, not surrounded by countertop.  I will have a 42" tall wall behind the cabinets to protect from the weather and run electrical through.  My question is, how deep does the built in cabinet need to be for the egg to be able to open without hitting the wall behind it? My best estimate from what I've found is 30" deep?

I made mine 34" deep to make sure I had room for the dome to open. You might get away with 30 " . I'd go just a little bigger if you have the room
