Vienna(4 count)vs Bobak's(10 count), both $7.

Sauted yellow ernyin with thyme.  Aldi Austrian Beer Mustard, Vienna Sport Peppers.  Only thing missing are the poppy seeds.  Snake method on the 14.5 WSM wiener cooker, Kingsford and JD chips, 200 until sweating, about 45 min.

All 3 votes went to Vienna, both flavor and texture.

A couple bites unadultered...

Casings on the Bobak's are too thick, like Kiolbassa's, where "a few bites were chewing on the knot of a balloon."

Fun little comparison smoke after grading clinical paperwork.  On the fyne chyna...

May have to seek out the real deal.  Maxwell Street does seem like my kind of place.

Thanks fer lookin'.
Vienna is the champ.

    Thanks Pete.
    Thought I'd give Bobak's a chance.  This wasn't even a contest.

Nice, I thank you for saving me wasting my money on Bobaks.

Its been years since I went to Maxwell street but I remember thinking damn this is the place to come for bulk socks, bulk underwear, and stolen power tools.

Good post Focker.  I like a good comparison.

My Vienna sport peppers and relish came in last week.  I'm looking forward to some authentic C dogs.

Nothing beats a Vienna and a lazer snake.  I have never had a beer from 3Floyds I didn't like.  Wish I could get it easier down here.  Can only get it when I go up to the city.

I'm glad you ordered some peppers and relish.
My son is hooked on the relish, and he used to pick out anything green.  Go figure.

Coctel de Fruta, Mangonada Vampiro or Diablitos.

I love Tajin on watermelon, the tamarind paste straw even looks good.  Hell, all the Mexi on this post looks great.

I hear ya brother, figured what better way to bring it all home than with a 3F offering.  Have tried to recommend to the local Hy Vee Liquor Mgr to carry it, or at minimum Alpha King, as they're big into the craft beer thing.  It's hard.  Not New Glarus hard, but hard.  They are trying she said.  We'll see.

I'll just have to plan a couple of beer runs to Munster per year.

That's great to know.  Is it strictly Alpha King?3F has 6 or so bottled in cases at any given time.  Bombers too.

I would call ahead, but I know all the Benny's in the area carry whatever 3F is offering to retail at that time.  Necron99, Robert The Bruce, Space Station, ALpha, Gumbball, Lazer Snake, Yum Yum, Zombie Dust is usually gone the day they get it, plus many others.

Very nice, and noted.  Zombie Dust on tap is worth the short drive out.  Have yet to see it available bottled both times we've stopped in.
Bartender was talking about 3F playing with gin first, and opening this Fall.  That will be fun.
