will large egg mates fit XL egg?

I have noticed used egg mates for sale on Craigslist from people who have built tables for their Eggs.  I have seen a few large egg mates but no extra large which is what I have.  I understand the diameter is a little larger on the XL but I wonder if I could modify drill new holes in the band or something to make the large mates fit an XL egg.  Just thought I would ask if anybody has tried it.

    The ones for my Large and XL are interchangeable but mine are several years old.
    Run by your local dealer and check them out.

    sorry im using my phone so ill just answer here instead of PM's (easier for me) the XL egg mates I have are composite. I also have an XL Nest and for anyone on this forum they are free just have to pick up or pay for shipping.

    Kevin, yes the mates are still available, Hopefully Ill be done with the table next weekend and ill ship them out to you then. Ill just need to know your address.
    After I ship them ill let you know how much the shipping is and you can send a check for that and if your feeling generous maybe throw in a bottle of your favorite rub as well (not necessary but will never turn down rub)
