Blackstone Griddle, Size and Finish

So my birthday is coming up and I am looking to get a Blackstone. I'm sure that its been covered but I'm lazy and didn't want to search. My questions are:  Is the Stainless Steel Finish Worth the extra money? Which Size is best 28" or 36" given that its 2 vs 4 burners? And Lastly, I've seen a lot of people getting Stainless Lids for them. What do those run cost wise? Mine will be on a back porch next to the egg so I don't necessarily have to have a cover. Thanks in advance!

36 is the choice...  since you are on a covered porch the Blackstone brand vinyl cover will do excellent... Stainless not needed in my opinion unless you just have too much money..   this is my setup and mine is 18 months old and looks brand new... I use mine at least 3 times per week....

Just saw this at lowe's, had side tables that folded to make a cover.  Looked interesting.

What can you get the black for?  Stainless is a bit of a PIA.  Rather have black personally.

The black is $249. What makes the same a pita? Just keeping it shiny and clean?

My guess would be keeping it clean looking.  I never clean my black one and it looks pretty good.  Our stainless fridge and stove need daily wipe downs.

Yep, that's exactly what I meant.  Stainless looks like it always needs cleaning.  I'm lazy.

Can anybody comment on the new vs old design?Looks like the only difference is the new one has the drip pan at the back. Does that make any difference?

  • I just picked up a 36” black kit in BJs that included the cover and tool kit for 229. It’s the older design with the grease cup on the side.  That price was in club only with a clip less coupon that expires on May 9th.
