OT...Pulp fiction...

not the movie, literal pulp fiction.

Was excited to learn today that the Internet Archive is making available the "Pulp Magazine Archive",  more than 11,000 volumes of those cheap paperback mags from days gone by.

I know there are a few sci fi buffs here and I'm sure many of us older folks had and read many of these at the time. As a kid I always liked the cover artwork and am going to enjoy flipping thru many of these old issues.

I don't recall reading any, but some of the other types available via the archive like "True Detective" and "Weird Tales" which often had somewhat "racy" artwork (for the day anyway) always caught my eye at the newstand.

The collection spans many decades (many well before my time) and this rabbit hole has likely ruined my existing to-do list for April (and possibly May and June). :)

Enjoy!

P.S.A. - The internet Archive maintains a lot of interesting stuff and they rely on donations to keep their operations going. I toss them a few bucks each year and if you download any of these mags you might consider chipping in a few bucks to help their continuing efforts. Thru April any donations will be matched by a grant from the Pineapple Fund.
