Wobbly Minimax

Looking over the new Minimax before breaking it in later today and there's quite a bit of wobble in the fire box/ring. It's been years since I broke in the Large BGE and honestly can't remember if there was wobble in that model or not. I'm assuming it's normal and may eventually settle somewhat. Don't see that it would interfere with cooking regardless.

It’s all good. Fire that baby up!

The ash will stabilize it. I have heard of folks taking the firebox out and basically sanding it on a side walk/ driveway. I prolly wouldn’t.

I have stuck a washer under a low spot before until the ash fills in the gap.

there's nothing worst than having a wobbly ash-hole the morning after St Patty's day!pgprescott said:I have stuck a washer under a low spot before until the ash fills in the gap.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
