Hope this isn't a stupid question... I am looking to cook something in a 9x13 pan, can I use my Pyrex glass dish? My cook will be indirect at 350-375 degrees (might finish around 400). My plan is to put the dish high on an AR with 2 stones below - my hope is to provide even temps better than I can achieve in my oven.

I have used a Pyrex 9 x 13 pan many times for desserts and casseroles. Up to 400 degrees indirect. One time the bottom got a little smoky, but that cleaned right up. It is usually on a raised grid. Everyone loves the blueberry buckle from "Smoke it Like a Pro" by Eric Mitchell when I make it.XL BGE in San Jose, CA. Also a Pit Barrel Cooker, a Cal Flame P4 gasser, and lots of toys including the first ever Flame Boss 300 in the wild. And a new Flame Boss 500.

thanks for the feedback. I didn't want the Cast Iron taste in this dish. Will let you know how it goes...Northern New Jersey

No problem at all. If you pay attention to temp limitations, anything can be used on the egg. Bar keepers friend, as was mentioned, will clean up smoke residue.Phoenix -
Wrap the outside in foil for easier cleanup.

No problems. Do not exceed the melting point of borosilicate glass. (although it's probably just regular glass that is tempered)
