Picked up a Griswold small label no. 8 & 80 hinge set at an estate sale. I cleaned it up and reasoned it. It's beautiful. $100.

Where's the best place to buy a Griswold pan? I don't have time for yard sales etc. Is there a preferred online reseller you guys use?

eBay or Craigslist. Not aware of a formal retailer that sells them but worth a search.

I haven't looked in a long time, but all of my Griswold and Wagner CI was purchased at local antique shops. Most for $20 or less. I don't think prices are that good in most parts of the country though. Never tried online.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Agree....Shipping can be right expensive when purchasing on-line.

I find mine mostly at antique shops and sometimes estate sales. The best deals are had when the pans are caked with decades of carbon and other gunk but structurally sound. (No cracks, warping, pitting or repairs.)

You'll save tons of money going that route versus eBay. For example. I just picked up a Griswold #10 "ERIE" cast iron skillet for $150 cash at an antique shop. Sounds like a lot of money but it's highly collectable and considered an antique since it was manufactured in the 1890's. I bought it to sell on eBay. It will take about a week to restore and it will sell on eBay for about $350!

If you are looking for "everyday" Griswold cast iron skillets you should be able to find #3 to #8 for $20 - $50 for a large block logo. The corresponding small block logo will cost a bit less.

I would be happy to give more suggestions via message if you like.

I bought a couple of pans online once, paid a premium and they were not as nice as they were made it out be. Spinners and a hairline crack that you couldn’t really see unless you examined it hard or thumped it. I didn’t feel like arguing with the old lady in a flea market two states away so I chalked it up as a learning lesson.

Hit those Lodges with a sander and reseason.
