    I'm not certain if it was on this forum, or another, but the report was that while they were very easy to use, the results were rather small. Better to do an injection.

    That's funny because I also bought some when they were mentioned here in that thread many months ago but set them aside when they arrived and forgot all about them and haven't actually cooked with them yet either.

    Now I have to find those things in the spice/rub pantry. :)

    I bit on the same bait several months ago.  Other than ground meat they can be a challenge to insert.  I use the thermapen as a space maker.  When you bite close to where they have been used you can taste a difference.  I actually split the stix and use in chix wings.  Seem to provide a more pronounced flavor impace, likely stick to meat ratio driven.
    I won't buy them again but an entertaining one-off.
    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.
