OT-Mug Root Beer

I made the kids some root beer floats after school because it's Friday. Not more than an hour later I walk back into this. Did Pepsi make Mug Root Beer a hard drink and I didn't get the memo?

Luckily I married into my "fandom" of the 'Stros 11 years ago. This is my FIL's (life long Houstonite), that I stole a few years ago that is true to the logo.

Thanks for yet another trip down memory lane! Back in the 50's in junior high the go to place after school in our small town was the (only) drug store. There for a nickel you could buy a fountain Coke. Or for a dime a fountain Coke and a bag of potato chips...or for that same dime a Coke float. After I got to high school and playing football no more after school visits, but that lust for Coke floats had left its impression! Soon thereafter I was introduced to the combination of chocolate milk and Coke! And to this very day a SUPER treat to myself is a ball of vanilla ice cream, chocolate milk and Coke!

One last memory...does anybody else remember a bottled drink called Chocolate Soldier? Maybe it was a mid-western thing I don't know.

It's the cat.  They either cause allergies or sleep comas.
