I've been a great fan of hers for like 44 years long before I had ever even seen her picture! That voice and the "stories" she told cemented me!
Those who don't like her don't or have never read her bio. When she was growing up in a very poor home she saw a local lady who was a painted and flamboyant hooker and she thought she was beautiful!
Granted - she has had so much plastic surgery that she might melt if she stood too close to a lamp!
But just the same as was pointed out before - she has given back to her community of poor folks- in such a gracious way, financial way that I personally still just see the sweet young thing - not the surgically enhanced lady!
