New Years Butt

Hi guys haven't been on for awhile because I moved and didn't set the egg up for awhile.
I'm cooking a butt and the temp has been about 300 or so for hours.  I'm not sure if it's my egg thermometer or my maverick.  I forgot to calibrate the eggs. Temp on egg has been 300 plus, maverick has been about 250 constant.  Meat has plateaued for awhile at  165 which I know it gets to that point for hours. I've done numerous butts but never had an issue with my temp. Vents are nearly shut.  If I go of the egg is there any suggestions how to lower the temp without putting it out.  Thanks and Happy New Year!!!
