Wow!
The last pig cook I was involved in was 150 pounds.
Ten pounds? That's very close to embryotic.Living the good life smoking and joking -

That's a TINY pig.
I definitely didn’t wrap the ears well enough though. -

Side note, used apple wood. -
I’m sure that was a tasty snack.
But something about the size of that piglet looks like an anti pig abortion video.

Now that's stepping way out of your comfort zone. Congrats on going for it and then bringing it home. Great cook and result.
Merry Christmas!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
I can't envision a pig that small. My version of a pig is this:

I should’ve taken a photo but I can’t even explain how small the ribs were. Very very small. The ham fit in the palm of my hand.

Kind of like robbing the cradle........
No offense, but even having a pig at this age and weight butchered and offered for sale weirds me out. Don't biology students dissect pigs of this size?
I can see suckling and young pigs 30 or so pounds and up..........just something about an almost newborn 10 pound pig that that I can't see.
But this is just me and my sensibilities.

i was gonna spring for an 18lb pig but this was the last one available. My views are it’s going to get eaten at some point. Still understand where you’re coming from! -
tymaier said:Totally respect that. Actually had a med grad at dinner and he said the one he dissected was much smaller.
