Agreed Nola, but the flora and fauna those folks have living in their digestive tract are likely vastly different than ours, and they are likely better equipped to deal with microscopic organisms that may grow from being left out too long. Earlier this month I had the same dilemma about some beef. I ate it.
Six hours later I was hugging the toilet and also dealing with serious diarrhea. It was horrible. I visited my doctor 48 hours later and she prescribed some meds for me. I felt absolutely horrible. I also felt incredibly stupid for not throwing the beef out. It simply isn't worth it. If in doubt, throw it out. And that's REALLY good advice.
