Kick Ash Basket

Well people on here finally pulled me in. Always talking about just lift in shake. My poor Visa! Anyhow the funny thing is that Kick Ash Baskets home site was out of the mediums but Ceramic Grill Store was more than happy to take my money. I had been having trouble getting the temp up so maybe this will cure it. I guess that I was only a little bad today, I didn't come home with that Large Green Egg that I looked at in Mobile.

  • Lol hey coming home with the L egg wouldn’t have been bad either. But I was also looking and the KAB as well, might pull the trigger soon.

  • I picked one up at an Eggfest last month , it does help get temp up faster and makes clean up easier after a short cook.
I thought, at first , that it made me use more lump for the short cooks since I had very little left over, but the forum informed me that , with the design of the KAB I wasn’t putting as much lump in as I used to. It just looked like it was as full.
Was a good purchase, that I don’t regret.

Enjoy your new KAB!  I'm looking forward to hearing how you like it.  Now, YOU, can kick that ash.  I did my first long cook with it yesterday.  I  have not removed the platesetter yet to see how the pile looks compared to without.  I am expecting no difference.
The problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.

  • I'm wondering how a long cook would go with a KAB. You can't put as much lump in it.

    I'm considering but I don't know.

Sure you can.....doesn't change anything on capacity or consumption.
