BBQ in Cleveland

Just spent a couple of days in Cleveland and while there I went to Michael Symon's Mabel BBQ in downtown. Ordered a 1lb of the Brisket (the point) and it was on point!!!! I was pleasantly surprised, also the sausage was bangin' too!! washed it all down with several Great Lakes Brewery Christmas Ale. Hopefully it wasn't just a one-off experience  cause going back in a couple of months and would like to go back and have the same experience.

Love Christmas Ale!  I have a1/6 barrel on tap in my basement.  Rim the glasses with cinnamon sugar for a real treat!

Im so jelous, as soon as I got back to Orlando I went to Total Wine and they dont carry it ugh!!

fwiw, I've eaten at Mabel's 3-4 times, and each time the brisket has been near-perfect. My only complaint about the place is I wish the sides were a little more basic and not so "creative."

If I might suggest on your return trip, head over to Barrio for some tacos. It's in the 5th Street Arcades, about a 4-iron away from Mabel's. One of our favorite pre-game places when we go to Indians games.
