I think I saw this on here but can’t remember. Has anyone tried it and does it work pretty good?

That what I was wondering. So turn down to simmer and then it wont scorch the of the soup or whatever? I usually go with a lot of stirring and then still will get some scorching.Extra Large, Large, DigiQII, Thermapen, Adjustable Rig

I have to use those on both of our cooktops because they are propane and burn very hot. No simmer without them.

I've had the scorching issue myself. Solved it by using a portable induction burner for low heat applications. It's very precise - even works well for cheese which is quite sensitive.
Side note - induction burner outside combined with a CI vessel (wok or dutch oven) is a great deep fry solution.Phoenix -
