All in with the extra hour of recovery from a brown water fueled evening.  The return from a short-changed evening back in March  ;)

This whole changing the clocks twice a year is stupid. If working during daylight hours is so important, just change the schedule. And speaking of that, let's talk about time zones. This is just as stupid. We live in 2017. We don't rely on paper train schedules anymore. Is there any chance would could just standardize on UTC?

How would you know, Nola, if you’ve never been in one? Huh? Ponder that.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

@DMW- as one who has traveled across many time zones at a measured pace (and not via commercial air) I can tell you that there are challenges to be had at every turn. Even today with numerous opportunities to know the local (time zone controlled) time the correct answer is not a given.
I'm sure you have studied the impact of disrupting the circadian cycle.  Granted just adjusting your local schedule to match the sun and whatever the UTC happens to be would mitigate that issue but  it would be quite a challenge for the people in Hong Kong to know the relative work time of those in NYC for example.  FWIW-

Nothing wrong with being gay.  Something wrong with denying it tho.  Be who you are and life will be happy.

Trying to sync work schedules across time zones here in the US is difficult, throw in DST and folks get confused. Just this week I proposed a meeting time with someone this week on EDT, or next week EST. Their suggested meeting time... Monday, Nov 6th, 2:00PM EDT. I replied I would be happy to schedule a meeting for Monday, Nov 6th, at 2:00PM EST, as time changes this weekend. And then you throw into play other countries that have their own DST schedule changes...

Now don't even get me started on trying to schedule meetings with certain areas of the globe (India, I'm looking at you) that are 0:30 off from the rest of us...

We should be more like China. China only uses one time zone even tho geographically it spans three or four.

Maybe Xi can suggest that to the Trumpster in a couple days and how one time could Make America Great Again.

  • Yeah, being more like China is just what I want.
  • Trump is doing an amazing job at making China great.

Agreed 100%.  And while we're on a roll, I'd vote to modernize with the rest of the world and adopt the metric system
Regrettably, we'll never officially give up our freedom units. 'Murica.

This perked up my freedom unit.

But it would probably sound bigger in metric.
