How many ounce tube will I need to install Rutledge gasket on an XL?

Just get that 3oz tube you will be fine. 

That stuff goes a long way. 

(Edit: I used one tube and did 2 Larges and a Minimax)

Just a thin bead......that's all you need.  All it's there to do is hold the gasket in place.  Do not goop it on there, because it's going to permeate the gasket, then inhibit it from doing it's job.  Thin bead down the middle, flatten it out with a latex glove with windex on it, then press the gasket onto it.  That's it.  You're going to use maybe a 1/4 of the tube.
