I can usually hit 600 for cooks with the right lump. It likes to run around 280 for low and slow and 450 for high cooks. Just need to be patient and get nice air flow for the high cookspgprescott said:

Oh no you might crack the hell out of it, firebox, fire ring too!!!!! Oh wait all of those parts are fired at much hotter temps in the kiln. How did the gasket hold up. Nothing wrong with a clean burn. I'm only hungry when I'm awake!

Jmcxl, thanks for the post, I love my mm... It's sitting in Florida waiting on me.. somebody beat me to the question about the gasket.... I bought a Rutland for my medium BGE just to have when the factory gasket goes south.... Fixing to get one for my mm.....have a great weekend!

Just did a clean burn on my Medium (needed to install a new gasket anyway).
If you look closely, you can see the serial number on the base and lid
