    Glad no one was hurt.

    My favorite comment...

I heard the fire would have been put out much faster had the firefighters not had to wait in line to get to it.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

"As Franklin looked on from a rain-soaked sidewalk outside the smoking shell of a pit room, a couple approached him and asked for a selfie. He was too taken aback to decline."

I'm not much of a fighter but some people just need a punch in the face every once in awhile. The poor guys business is burning down and all you can think about is getting a selfie with him?

Is it possible it was their first time there and just thought he was smoking briskets back there? If not, I wholeheartedly agree with you and Chuck.

Thanks for the linked update.  I know his business will emerge at or above the level of exceptional consistency that was his trademark.  Imagine nailing 100+ briskets every day/6 days a week.  And his operation does it all the time.  I can't wait for the Franklin version II.  Another Austin road-trip on the horizon.
As for the selfie-some people are just waaaaaay to self-absorbed to be of any value to society.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Thanks for the link @HeavyG. Have followed Franklin's career from the Austin PBS programs and always was impressed with how humble he is about his place in BBQ history. Wish him and the entire crew the best with Franklin's II.
